So, You'd Like to Host a Trip!
We Welcome Your Participation
Links to information and forms needed to lead a CCPAC event are listed here. Trip leaders will receive this packet of information from the outings chairs when possible — use this site if you need extra copies. Questions or too much to read: email the outings chairs at outings@ccpac.org, and we'll talk you through the procedure. Really, it's easy once you've done it. And fun.
Plan the Trip
For hosts especially:
Important information for all members:
List the Trip in the Newsletter and on the Website
Before You Launch
- Check names on the CCPAC membership list that you'll receive.
- Bring copies of ACA Waivers and CCPAC Media Release forms so members can sign them if needed. Most members have done this by spring. Guests need to sign an ACA waiver and pay a $10 ACA guest fee.
- Please do not alter these forms as they are legal documents.
If you need the Adobe Acrobat Reader to view these forms, you can download it free from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html (this is a large file, so it may take some time).
Paddle Safely/ Have Fun
Have fun—that's what it's all about—but always keep an eye out for your partners 'cuz we're all in this together.
After the Paddle
List the names of the trip participants and their ACA #'s on the following form:
- ACA Event Report Form (.xls; requires Microsoft Excel)
- Alternate Form — Acrobat form that you can type directly into, print, and send in to ACA. Be sure to read the directions, or you might waste time filling in details you don't need to provide :-)
Then email the form to:
- Vicki Baron, ACA, at vbaron@americancanoe.org for insurance purposes, and
- The outings co-chairs at outings@ccpac.org for club records.
Send any guest fees collected to the membership chair at CCPAC, PO Box 803,
Traverse City, MI 49685-0803
Ask a participant to write a brief paddle report and send it to the newsletter editor at newsletter@ccpac.org and the webmaster@ccpac.org.
Thanks from the Club!
